Bio
Helena M. Mariades, Th.D.
EDUCATION: A pastoral counselor for over 25 years, Dr. Helena Mariades was educated at Capital Bible College (Counseling Diploma), Florida Christian University (Pastoral Counseling, MA Christian Psychology, President’s Award for Achievement), and Florida Theological Seminary (Theology Th.D.) and American Association of Christian Counselors (Christian Life Coach). She is certified as a Grief Recovery Method Specialist by the Grief Recovery Method Institute®. Also certified as a Therapeutic Art Coach by Udemy, and Therapeutic Art Practitioner by Scholistico.
ASSOCIATIONS: Dr. Helena has been a Member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, and was endorsed by the AACC International Board of Christian Counselors as a Board Certified Biblical Counselor. She is ordained with Harvesters Christian Fellowship, a non-denominational organization.
EXPERIENCE: In 2001, Restoration Groups, a support groups ministry, was launched by Dr. Helena at Calvary Assembly Church in Winter Park, Florida. During that year, she also founded Restoration Counseling Ministries.Counseling was offered to Central Florida residents, which included residents of the local Union Rescue Mission.
In 2007, Dr. Helena and her husband, Rev. Peter Mariades Th.D., moved to the east coast of Florida where she reestablished her office, and incorporated online video counseling for her valued clients in Central Florida. This convenient and successful addition, quickly extended her services to others in many cities throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
